A bar within the bar. A listening room all its own.

Tucked away inside Murmur, The Den is our intimate private listening room inspired by the tiny, obsessive bars of Tokyo — eight seats, low lights, great drinks, and a whole lot of sound packed into a very small room.

Built more like a recording studio than a private dining room, The Den has multiple hi-fi systems completely independent from the main room, including quadraphonic playback for both vinyl and reel-to-reel tape. Four speakers. Four channels. Music coming from places you didn’t know it could.

The bar has a world of its own, too. A tightly curated list of premium Japanese whiskies and sake sits alongside Den-only cocktails you won’t find anywhere else at Murmur.

The Den is currently available exclusively as a private group reservation — perfect for birthdays, celebrations, date nights with several other dates, or simply disappearing with a group of friends for a couple of hours. Eight can settle in at the bar, while larger gatherings of roughly 12–15 can make themselves at home throughout the room.

And this is only the beginning.

Soon, The Den will become home to special listening sessions built around recordings that deserve something more than an ordinary spin: rare pressings, quadraphonic records, reel-to-reel tapes, live recordings and other things we’ve been saving for the right room. For those nights, we’ll open the doors seat by seat.
