Born from an obsession with music, sound, and the spaces that bring people together, Murmur is a Hi-Fi lounge in the heart of downtown Providence.

Here, music isn’t background noise. It’s the reason we exist.

Every record is chosen with intention. Sometimes that means dropping the needle and letting an album breathe. Sometimes it means chasing one great song with another. Either way, the music leads the room.

Drinks are made with intention. Food is meant for sharing. The lights stay low, the sound stays just right, and nobody’s in much of a hurry.

Inspired by Japanese listening bars, old hi-fi rooms, neighborhood watering holes, and the simple pleasure of putting on a great record with people you like, Murmur is our version of all of the above—without trying too hard to be any one of them.

We believe hospitality should feel easy. Music should feel important. And a night out doesn’t need to be loud to be memorable.
